Cub Scout Pack 81
About Us >
Everything you ever wanted to know about our pack.

Cub Scout Pack 81 was chartered by the Boy Scouts of  America (BSA) in 1953.
Our chartering organization is Hillsdale United Methodist Church. The purpose
of a  chartering organization is to provide over-sight and leadership to the pack
Additionally, the chartering  organization provides the pack with a place to meet.

In 2003, Pack 81 reached a major milestone. Fifty years of continuous scouting
in Hillsdale!
And still going strong!! BSA is organized at the national level, with tiers
of support at the regional, council and district levels.

Pack 81 was originally in the Bergen Council. Several councils were consolidated
into the Northern New Jersey Council, which is where we are today.

The pack is organized top down, as follows:

Chartering Organization
Committee Chairperson
Cubmaster
Asst Cubmaster
Den Leaders & Assistants
Scouts & Scout Parents

Scouting, at all levels, relies heavily on volunteer efforts by scout families.
Nobody within the pack is paid for their efforts. The jobs are much easier
when lots of hands help out. Please help your son's pack in any way you can.
